A Winter Farmers Market at Brewery 85
Greenville, SC, December 29, 2016–

Brewery 85 is hosting a winter farmers market starting January 2017. The market will host 30 or so local producers to sell their products at a new venue and at a time where there are not many opportunities go sell at. The market will host farmers and producers from around the upstate of South Carolina. The items for sale will include local produce, meats, cheeses, soaps, candles, crafts, etc..

The event is being headed up by Chad Manaton, owner of The Farm Cart – a local food distributor in the upstate, and Adrienne Hawkins, local events coordinator and has managed other farmers markets in the upstate. Will McCameron wanted to be able to utilize his brewery space for more events and felt there was a need for a winter market in the upstate.

“There are a lot of hard-working folks that are small business owners like myself. The winter months can be slow and difficult in their line of work. I really felt the need to try and help out and provide a venue. If we are able to foster some goodwill in the community and create awareness for local companies at the same time then that’s a great thing.”

The first market starts on January 7th 21st and continues every couple of Saturdays until April 8th. The dates of the markets are Jan. 7, Jan. 21, Feb. 11, Feb. 25, Mar. 11, Mar. 25, Apr. 8, & Apr. 15. The market opens at 11 AM and ends at 2 PM. The market will run rain or shine. If the weather is poor the market can be moved indoors at the brewery. Other features of the market include food trucks, craft beer, music, and fire pit. This is a family friendly event.
